Superfast North Yorkshire is inviting local businesses to take advantage of a range of free business support services to help them gain a competitive advantage in the new online world of superfast fibre broadband.
Free business support includes intensive face to face advice, training workshops, skills master classes, and business networking events – all free of charge to qualifying businesses in the area.
The project, funded by the European Regional Development fund, will provide access to 12 hours of free business support and training in addition to a £700 grant towards eligible purposes to help boost their web-based business skills.
A series of information seminars are currently underway more will being rolled out over the coming months.
Current dates and locations are:
- March 7 in Malton
- March 13 in Whitby
- March 14 in Selby
- March 15 in Scarborough
- March 20 in Ripon

Superfast North Yorkshire, a partnership between North Yorkshire County Council and BT, builds on BT’s own commercial roll-out of fibre broadband in the county so that 90 per cent of North Yorkshire’s homes and businesses will have access to fibre broadband by the end of 2014.
