Wakefield-based telecoms provider NGC Networks is supporting a local business community to take advantage of the benefits of super-fast broadband.
NGC Networks is the support partner to LN Communications, the wireless company delivering the broadband community network at Sherburn Enterprise Park.
The network was developed with funding from the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), LN Communications and NYnet, the body responsible for bringing next generation broadband to the region.
NGC Networks director Nikki Guest said:
Working with LN Communications has enabled us to offer more innovative solutions to our customers, providing connectivity where some other suppliers cannot.
“The success of the improved internet service at Sherburn Business Park means we get the chance to shout about all the other products and services NGC are good at too.
One of NGC’s customers is Cromwell Polythene and Recycling which is delighted with the new broadband connectivity.
Managing director Garth Imison said:
We wanted to use internet telephony between our two sites but it was untenable because of the previous poor quality of the broadband.
The new broadband service is so much better for our business – it’s faster and very reliable. We are extremely happy with it, so much so that I recommend it to other businesses on the park.
