Leopold Square in Sheffield is set to add specialist recruiter, REED, to its list of tenants.
REED, which has 200 offices across the UK and around the world, will occupy unit 7b within the Square – a 3,500 sq ft unit.
Fit out work is already underway on the new office, which is expected to open in mid to late August with around 30 members of staff relocating from their current offices on Norfolk Row, Sheffield.
The Square, located in Sheffield’s West End, was once home to Sheffield Boys School, and features a number of stunning Grade II listed buildings.
The move comes as REED, which has had offices in Sheffield for nearly 20 years, continues to expand and a larger, more efficient office space is needed.
The entrance to REED’s new office will be on West Street, offering staff and visitors easy access to the City Hall Supertram stop, bus interchange and railway station.
Ask Developments, the developer behind Leopold Square, has worked closely with REED to agree the internal design in line with their offices around the world and to fit out of the space.
Leon Guyett, development director at Ask Developments, said:
“Leopold Square has long been a premier leisure destination in Sheffield. However, with this particular unit we realised that the space would lend itself well to an office occupier, as it’s a bright modern space with plenty of natural light, and good access to public transport.
“REED is the most recognised recruitment consultancy within the UK, with an outstanding reputation, and we look forward to working with them over the coming months to launch their new office in Sheffield.”
Anne Christie, Property Director at REED said:
“It’s wonderful that REED has grown so much that we have the need for more space and it is a real testament to everyone’s expertise and hard work. The team here in Sheffield is looking forward to settling into our new office space and sharing it with the clients and candidates we work with.”
