A York marketing administrator is aiming to successfully tackle the Olympic Road Race route and raise money for charity when she takes part in the Prudential Ride 100 this year.

Ella Daniels, 25, who works at Langleys Solicitors, is raising money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance as she takes on the 100 mile route.

The cyclist, who only took up the sport last year, is keen to raise money to support and raise awareness of the vital work of the Air Ambulance.

She said of the race on Sunday, August, said:

“Cycling is something I’ve really enjoyed over the last year and I’m looking forward to challenging myself against one of the toughest circuits, including the famous Box Hill.

“I’ll be riding in the race on my own but I’m lucky that my friends, family and colleagues have all been really supportive. For a fairly novice rider this is a big test but I’m looking forward to it.”
