Integrated communications agency Acceleris has risen six places in the league table of the UK’s top 25 public sector PR consultancies.

The Harrogate agency, which has a division operating for clients around the country in the social housing, health and education sectors, has been placed at number 11.

The annual league table is published by the leading industry magazine, PR Week and ranks agencies from across the country based on fee income generated from work with public sector organisations.

Among its public sector clients are the National Federation of ALMOs, whose 50 member organisations around England manage more than 700,000 council houses, individual social housing organisations, Tong High School in Bradford as well as work with police and crime commissioners and within the healthcare sector.

The agency also works for a number of leading suppliers to the public sector, including Kier Group’s housing maintenance division and Rixonway, the leading manufacturer of kitchens for the social and affordable housing sector.

Acceleris managing director, Peter Davenport, said:

“By finding innovative and cost effective ways to maximise the impact of our campaigns for clients in the public sector, we have been able to grow our work in this sector over the past year despite cutbacks in Government spending.

“To have improved our ranking amongst some of the biggest specialist consultancies in the country is testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.”

As well as its public sector client base, Acceleris also operates for major clients in the private sector, including construction, maritime, professional services, automotive and for a number of national charities.
