Small businesses across Richmondshire are to get help with increasing their business turnover and job creation.

The district council has set up a £30,000 business grant scheme available to support small business with up to four employees.

Coun Russell Lord, spokesperson for partnerships, said:

“We hope the fund will provide small businesses with a cash boost to help them grow.

“The maximum grant is for £1000 for up to 75 per cent of the total project costs for capital or revenue projects such as purchase of machinery, ICT equipment, marketing, training.

“It is not for general business running costs. The pot is not exhaustive so will be on a first come first serve basis.”

Application forms will be available from October 1, 2013 on  www.richmondshire.gov.uk/businesscommunity/fundinggrantschemes.aspx or by contacting sarah.bell@richmondshire.gov.uk on 01748 827022
