Leeds city centre opticians, David H Myers has raised £616 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Albion Street practice staged an event with a difference for Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning by inviting Leeds shoppers to enjoy a range of fundraising activities themed around the 1961 film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

As the exclusive stockist of Tiffany & Co eyewear in Leeds, the all day fundraiser kicked off with a designer raffle to win £1,500 worth of prizes including a pair of Tiffany & Co glasses.

Following a competitive staff bake-off, cakes and coffee were sold to guests, staff dressed up in 1960s style clothes and Audrey Hepburn herself even made an appearance!

Matt Brigg, practice manager, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to have raised so much for Macmillan.

“Several members of the team have had their lives affected by cancer this year and our Breakfast at Tiffany’s coffee morning was a fun and rewarding way to raise some money for the cause.

“Thank you to all the Leeds shoppers who came in to support us on the day and congratulations to all the raffle winners who walked away with some great designer prizes from the brands we stock.”
