Apprentice Sam hits the road to find new customers

Scarborough-based Spectrum Cleaning Solutions has helped office apprentice Sam Binley hit the road to secure new customers.

Sam, 21, joined the firm which supplies cleaning products, paper disposables, janitorial goods and washroom services, thee-years-ago as a sales admin apprentice.

As part of ambitious growth plans for the business Sam was promoted to Field Sales Executive despite the fact that she couldn’t drive.

Identifying Sam had a natural ability in sales and customer service after completing NVQ’s in business admin, sales and customer service, Spectrum MD Jo Thompson stepped in to help pay for some driving lessons, theory test and driving test so she could take up her new role.

Sam said:

“Spectrum is a great place to work and I am really grateful to Jo for investing in me.

“Getting my company car gave me a real sense of achievement and made all my hard work over the last three years worthwhile!

“I am looking forward to continuing to make a great success of my career at Spectrum.”
