Leeds IT-solutions company increases turnover by £1m in 2013

Leeds-based IT solutions provider, Blue Logic, has announced a strong 2013, reporting an increase in turnover of £1m to £4.58m and increasing profit by 35 per cent.

Over the same period – ending December 2013 – the company increased its employee count by almost 30 per cent, taking the total to 55 and resulting in an office expansion to house the growing team.

Dave Helm, Blue Logic’s director, said:

“2013 was an extremely successful year for Blue Logic and our increased sales demonstrate that our commitment to providing leading IT-based solutions for our clients is working.

“The increase in work has enabled us to expand and we’ve taken on 12 new employees in the past year alone, with each one adding a new skill to the business that will help us grow further over the next 12 months.”

In 2013 Blue Logic also added some major clients to its roster – including Morrisons, the West Yorkshire Probation Trust and Eddisons Commercial – and achieved Sage 200 Partner status.

This means the company now has the capability to provide more sophisticated accounting IT solutions, further opening up its potential client base.

In 2014 the company expects to grow turnover by another £1m and take on further employees, creating a steady supply of local job opportunities.

Plans are also in place for a large office extension at Blue Logic’s Head Office, near Thorner, Leeds, to cope with the rapid increase in staff.

Dave added:

“We have ambitious plans for 2014, but it’s not just about expanding the business.

“We continually strive to improve our services and enhance our solutions to ensure we give the ultimate experience to our customers.

“The IT sector is a fast moving market and over the next 12 months we will continue to develop our service offering to deliver the solutions that match our clients’ exact needs.”
