Yorkshire Institute of Directors is continuing its commitment to give members the opportunity to meet with key policy makers in its latest lunchtime get-together with Danny Alexander MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury.

Mr Alexander, Lib Dem MP will address members at the 1 Gallery, 2 The Quays on Thursday March 6 between noon and 2.00pm during which refreshments and a buffet lunch will be served.

It is part of the Lib Dem promise to listen to business leaders at a regional level and find out what issues most affect them and how Government can respond to boost growth and create employment.

Mr Alexander is spending the day in East Yorkshire visiting businesses and listening to their concerns and gathering opinion.

The lunchtime discussion with the MP will focus on the growth and development of British business, and the particular challenges faced by cities such as Hull.

There will be a chance meet Mr Alexander over lunch followed by a Q&A open forum session.

Looking forward to an open and honest debate Richard Tuplin chair for East Yorkshire (Humber) IoD said:

“We are delighted to host this informal  session, with Danny, which is intended to allow our members the  opportunity to raise concerns and put their opinions across to such a senior cabinet member”
