The Light sees “the light” by adopting new digital tool

The Light retail and leisure centre in Leeds has become one of the first businesses of its kind to adopt a new digital tool.

The scheme has implemented the Google Business Photo technology, an innovative way to allow web users from around the world to explore its premises via desktop, tablet or smartphone.

A Google-trusted photographer recently visited The Light in order to create 360-degree panoramic shots, and customers can now use the tool – hosted on the world’s biggest search engine – to walk around the centre and see the different venues located inside it.

The application, which is entirely free to use, is also available to customers on The Light’s website and dedicated Facebook page.

Victoria Sugden, marketing coordinator at The Light, said:

“Leeds is a technology-savvy city and as such, it’s important to us at The Light to keep on top of all things digital.

“Our Virtual Tour application is a new, innovative and more interactive approach to keeping our customers connected with the centre.

“It’s also a great way for us to reach more people.

“A lot of us like to see what a place is like before visiting it, and now people can see all The Light has to offer. It’s just like being there!”
