Yorkshire telecoms specialist NGC Networks has become a registered supplier in the Government’s scheme to roll out superfast internet connectivity to businesses.
Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) is operating a Broadband Connection Voucher Scheme in which SMEs can apply for financial support – from £250 to £3,000 – to upgrade their internet connectivity.
The Connection Vouchers are being delivered by the 22 SuperConnected Cities across the UK.
A number of the cities, including Leeds/Bradford, are already accepting applications for vouchers while the remainder, such as York, are due to go live very shortly.
NGC Networks, based in Wakefield, will be providing its expertise in internet connectivity to enable businesses to take advantage of the scheme and boost their competitive edge.
NGC director Nikki Guest said:
“This scheme enables SMEs to connect to a much better internet service which will help speed up the way they work, making them more efficient and improving functions such as customer service.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to be involved in helping Yorkshire businesses upgrade to gaining superfast internet connectivity.”
The Connection Voucher scheme is open until March 2015 but companies should apply now as the vouchers are available on a first come, first served basis.
