Bradford-based industrial gaskets specialist Klinger UK has marked another record year of growth by receiving an award for innovation.

Presented by the Klinger Group board in Austria, the award recognises continued expansion at Klinger UK in 2013, which achieved turnover of £27.6 million turnover and profit of £6.2m, opening new branches to meet growing client demand across the petrochemical industry.

Klinger UK managing director Alan Bates said:

“We were delighted to receive this award, which is the first of its kind and acknowledges outstanding team effort, skill and dedication to exceed all our targets and continue our expansion here in the UK and in vital international markets.

“It is really encouraging to see that Klinger UK’s strategy of continued inward investment and innovation has resulted in a 20 per cent increase in gross profit on 2012.

“Our decision to keep manufacturing in the UK has proven to be a significant factor.

“With the right investment in technology, machinery and people, a British manufacturer can be competitive in the global petrochemical industry’’.

Klinger UK is expanding its manufacturing capacity in Bradford, with a new purpose-built factory which will more than double its capacity.

The company opened a new distribution branch in Immingham last year and plans to open two further UK branches over the next two years, in Humberside and Great Yarmouth.

Klinger UK also successfully launched in Saudi Arabia and Iraq during 2013, with joint partners UBGF and Rawasi Al Rumailah and has plans to open a new project facility in Houston, USA later this year, to increase its manufacturing and stocking capabilities.

One of the world’s leading developers, manufacturers and distributors of quality sealing products for the global oil and gas industry, Klinger also has a growing customer base in the aerospace, pharmaceutical, food and nuclear industries.
