Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White has declared his first Sheffield venue officially open.
John Cluckie has been appointed as head chef and Len Roberts as restaurant manager of Marco’s New York Italian on West Bar Green.
“We’re so excited to be opening our doors to the public and welcoming guests to Marco’s.
“There’s been a huge amount of interest in the restaurant.
“Sheffield is a fantastic city with a great foodie culture and I’m sure Marco’s will be a popular addition to the local restaurant scene.”
The restaurant, which is located next door to the new Hampton by Hilton Sheffield hotel, offers “affordable glamour” with an American-Italian inspired menu featuring dishes including seafood, pasta, pizza, steaks and burgers. A large bar area also serves signature cocktails, wine, spirits and beers.
Marco Pierre White said:
“We want Marco’s to raise the bar for New York Italian food in the city.
“It is a place for people to enjoy a bite to eat after work, dine with the family or get glammed up for a special occasion.
“It is an all occasion venue, there is no pretence about us, we simply want people to spend time with us and relax whilst enjoying some quality food.”
