Barnsley based PR and communications agency, Cream, has been awarded a new contract after success from an initial nine month campaign.
Cream Consultancy was hired by Wentworth Castle Gardens last year to promote the £3.74m restoration project of the Victorian glass conservatory with the aim of driving visitor numbers.
From researching previous visitor information and statistics, Cream was able to identify key markets and build a communications plan to target those specific individuals.
Through using a combination of effective media relations and engaging storytelling, the venue was introduced to new audiences whilst reminding existing patrons of its appeal.
Within the first two months of the partnership, media coverage with an audience reach of 7.2 million people was secured.
This was then successfully translated into visitors, with numbers more than double the same period the previous year.
Wentworth Castle was keen to maintain the relationship with Cream, and to continue building visitor numbers.
Claire Herring, director at Wentworth Castle Gardens, said:
“The work undertaken by Cream in promoting our Victorian conservatory was instrumental in the success of the project.
“The agency became part of our team, and we’re delighted to cement our working relationship.”
Jane Whitham, director at Cream, said:
“We are delighted to be re-appointed by Wentworth Castle.
“The success of the Victorian conservatory campaign is an excellent example of what can be achieved through strategic and creative PR.
“We look forward to developing the relationship further and driving even more visitors through the gates.”
