Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber have recently confirmed Lisa Pogson as their new non-executive board director.
Lisa Pogson (44) was born in Sheffield and now lives in Rotherham with husband, Don and their six year old daughter, Hannah.
She is the resources director, managing finance, HR and internal operations at Airmaster, a local mechanical services company specialising in energy efficient heating and cooling based at Swallownest, Rotherham in what was The Wetherby pub.
Lisa can often be seen representing Airmaster and the Barnsley Rotherham Chamber Women in Business group at events around the region.
She is a huge supporter of the “Women of Steel” statue campaign and schools projects increasing skills from enterprise to literacy in the region.
Lisa also has links with the local STEM projects to get more women into Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and advocates for the work that organisations like the Work Wise Foundation and Sheffield Hallam University are involved in.
She feels strongly that as a member of the Sheffield City Region LEP Retail Forum, she really wants to back local retailing and ensures Airmaster works with a range of large and small retailers.
“I hope that the passion and commitment which I have focussed on growing our own business can be reflected in my new role with the Chamber.
I see it as a real opportunity for me to help shape and influence the local economy and see it grow and prosper. I feel the role of the Chamber is crucial- and how we all respond to the opportunities in the months ahead is critical to the regeneration of the region’s economy.”
