Lee Clements, the long serving plantsman and garden advisor has been promoted from plant supervisor to garden department supervisor at Ferndale Garden Centre, Coal Aston.

Ferndale director Neil Grant, who is also BBC Radio Sheffield’s gardening expert, said:

“We are delighted to create a new position for Lee, by amalgamating two key sections of our garden offering and their teams under Lee’s expert guidance.

“Lee now has responsibility for anything to do with ‘gardening’ at Ferndale Garden Centre.”

Lee said:

“I was really surprised and very happy to be offered the chance to build this new combined department.

“I have a great team to lead. It really is a team effort and we are making sure that gardening has a coordinated view across the business.

“This will help our customers as we increasingly ‘mix’ garden supplies into logical groups that will make our customers’ gardening easier.”
