A Sheffield leisure operator has welcomed a new face to its commercial sales team.
Simon Lewis, 22, has joined Sheffield International Venues (SIV) as commercial sales executive.
His role will involve creating corporate partnerships and offering marketing and advertising platforms to third party organisations or businesses looking to develop their brand awareness and exposure within Sheffield.
Doncaster-based Simon graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2013 where he studied Events Management.
He takes up the new role with events experience gained having worked a volunteer manager at the Iron Man UK triathlon in Bolton last year where he recruited and organised more than 300 volunteers.
“Working in events is something I’ve always been interested in and I’m now focused on applying my experience to the commercial sales team at SIV.
“My new role will involve utilising our venues such as Sheffield City Hall, Ponds Forge International Sports Centre and the English Institute of Sport Sheffield to develop partner brands through our local and national marketing platforms.
“I’m proud to work for such a high profile organisation with a variety of world class facilities and strong events programme. It’s an exciting time to be joining SIV as the company moves forward.”
SIV operates 17 facilities including Ponds Forge, the Motorpoint Arena and Sheffield City Hall.
