A new drinks catering company is open for business in time for the summer party season serving Pimms and Prosecco on draught.

Bubbles and Punch has opened in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and will be serving speciality drinks at a range of events and festivals in the area throughout the summer months with support from NatWest.

The mobile bar will be at events including the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival, Le Tour Yorkshire, weddings, village festivals and concerts.

In addition to drinks service, Bubbles and Punch can also provide decorations for events.

Florist Glen Timmins created the business.

He opened Flowers By Glen in 2012 after 18 years of the work in the prison service, which included five years case managing prisoners with suicide and self harm problems.

Glen said:

“Bubbles and Punch has the ability to cater for a range of events.

“This includes the summer party season but we are also looking at events for the winter months and will be selling mulled wines and otter items.”

The idea to start Bubbles and Punch was instigated during a conversation Glen had over the Christmas period with a friend.

Glen wanted to diversify his event planning interests so he turned to NatWest Relationship Ian Court for support on the new venture.

Ian secured £5,000 of funding for start up costs.

Glen added:

“I have been banking with NatWest since leaving school so it was the natural choice to go to for the new business.

“Ian has been great from the start, offering excellent support and has been very helpful.”

Ian said:

“I was delighted to support the launch of Bubbles and Punch and I wish Glen every success for the future.”
