It’s a marriage that has brought together two well-known Yorkshire wedding specialists – and recently they reached a major milestone of their own.
A total of 100 couples have now said “I do” to the catering partnership forged four years ago, between Ilkley’s idyllic wedding venue, Denton Hall, and the town’s renowned Michelin-starred restaurant The Box Tree.
Since the two uniquely pooled their home-grown expertise, 100 couples have now chosen to work with Executive Chef Simon Gueller and his team from Box Tree Events in adding an extra culinary dimension to their dream day.
According to Denton Hall manager Steve Haw, the joint venture between two of Ilkley’s best-known names is a winning combination.
“It is a partnership that sets us apart from other venues in a unique way, offering a totally different dimension to the occasion.
“Couples can feel like the Lord and the Lady of the manor for the weekend as we offer a very personal service and look after the bride and groom from the very beginning.
“When a bride first steps through the door at Denton Hall, we guide them through the entire process and offer a complete bespoke service, providing fine dining in a stately home.”
Simon Gueller, executive chef of the Box Tree, said:
“We specialise in creating customised menus of the highest quality and ensuring the smooth running of the event, while Denton Hall provides an exclusive venue in a stunning countryside setting.
“For any couple wanting to mark their special day, it’s a perfect marriage – and we are delighted to have a role in inspiring so many long-lasting and happy memories for so many people.”
Denton Hall – a Grade I listed Georgian country house set in the heart of 2,500 acres of landscaped grounds and farmland – is steeped in history and character, and is full of Yorkshire charm.
Recognised as one of Yorkshire’s architectural gems for more than 200 years, the Hall features 24 newly-refurbished bedrooms and two luxury suites – including a bridal suite.
