Staff and clients of accountancy firm Baker Tilly gave a special Yorkshire send-off to World Cup referee Howard Webb before he sets off for Brazil 2014.
The event took place at Thorpe Park Hotel in Leeds and was attended by around 50 of the firm’s key clients.
Speaking after the event, Howard Webb said:
“It is a great honour to have been selected to be the only British referee in the FIFA World Cup 2014.
“I’m proud to be representing Yorkshire on the biggest stage in world football.
“The World Cup in Brazil should be an amazing occasion and a wonderful experience for anyone who loves football to be involved in.
“I thoroughly enjoyed sharing my experiences so far with clients of Baker Tilly and also outlining my prep for Brazil 2014.
“I hope my performances in Brazil will make everybody proud.”
