The Construction Industry Training Board is calling on Leeds’ top construction companies, employees and trainees to put themselves forward as nominees for the CITB Pride of Construction Awards.
Britain’s most talented and outstanding firms and individuals are to be celebrated at a special one-off awards ceremony this autumn to mark CITB’s 50th anniversary.
Nominations are being sought for the prestigious CITB Gold Awards which will celebrate key personalities, employers and industry achievements through six categories:
- Outstanding Employer (Large)
- Outstanding Employer (SME)
- Outstanding Strategic Partner
- Outstanding Trainer Partner
- Personality of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement Award
The awards will take place on September 10, at Old Billingsgate, in London, and brings together guests from across the construction agency, including high-profile business leaders, VIPs, customers, suppliers and apprentices.
Steve Housden, CITB sector strategy manager, Yorkshire, said:
“We felt there was no better way to mark 50 years of CITB than to host an award ceremony to recognise exceptional talent and success in our industry.
“We want to formally acknowledge and commend those in the industry who’ve made a real contribution-whether it’s young apprentices at the beginning of their career or employees who have been working in construction for many years.
“Leeds has a strong construction tradition and over the last five decades there has been some brilliant construction work which has transformed the city, so I strongly encourage individuals and firms to get involved and to get nominating.”
