Skipton BID appoints new chairman

The board of Skipton BID has appointed Andrew Mear as chairman in succession to Dave Wathen.

Andrew has been a director of the BID since April 2009 and owns and manages a number of retail and office properties in Skipton, including the town’s historic High Corn Mill.

Andrew said:

“The successful vote to renew the BID ensures that Skipton BID is able to play a full part in the economic development of the town.

“I am delighted that the board has seen fit to appoint me chairman in these exciting times.”

Richard Trinder of Selestial Ltd and David Roberts of Hetties join the BID board for its second term.

Mary Arber, who has a commercial and legal background, has been appointed BID manager.

She will be responsible for the day to day management and implementation of the BID’s five year plan.
