Dacre Son & Hartley has appointed property professional Paul Wilson to head up the residential agency at its Ilkley office.

Paul, who returned to Dacres this year as area manager for Wharfedale and Leeds will manage a team eleven who are based at the prominent head office on The Grove.

Paul said: “I have lived in Ilkley for nearly ten years and have a thorough understanding of the marketplace here, which is very unique.

“Dacres is a part of the fabric of Ilkley, and with plans in place for further expansion in the town, it’s an exciting time to be leading such a dedicated team who are renowned for their personal service.”

Due to the firm’s increase in demand for private valuations and surveys, highly regarded Chartered Surveyor Ian Briggs, who is celebrating 40 years in the property industry this year, has been appointed to head up the firm’s residential survey coverage in Ilkley, the Wharfedale, Craven and Yorkshire Dales National Park areas.

Ian said: “Our survey department is a thriving division of our business as buyers look to obtain bespoke private reports to supplement lenders’ less informative mortgage valuation reports and thus make a better purchase decision.”

Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential at Dacre, Son & Hartley says: “We are in a privileged position to provide an all-encompassing range of residential and commercial property services in Yorkshire, and Ian’s appointment will further enhance our survey services, with our clients being able to benefit from that fact that he has over four decades of experience in the field.

“Paul’s appointment will see him manage the sales team at our main office and will help us to further increase market share.

“He is a welcome addition to our Ilkley HQ, which already employs over 40 staff within the town.

“We are already planning for 2015, and there is some exciting property coming to the market in the springtime, as well as the launch of three new development sites, which will offer buyers a wide choice of new homes options.”
