Wakefield-based telecoms specialist NGC Networks has helped one of the country’s most prestigious bottled water manufacturers to transform its telecoms.
Water Brands Group, owner of Harrogate Spring Water, has replaced an old Alcatel system with a new Avaya IP500 telephone system after taking advice from NGC experts.
Steve Burnett, finance director at Water Brands Group, said: “We installed a new bottling line this year, which has quadrupled the speed at which we can bottle products.
“Due to this expansion, we needed to expand our telecoms system. Reliable and convenient communication is critical.
“Our old system was clunky and frustrating to use. It would have cost us thousands to upgrade it.
“NGC recommended an Avaya solution that we have found easy to use and reliable.
“The Avaya system is money well spent. I love the clarity on the speaker phone – it’s crystal clear.”
The £9m-turnover manufacturer is experiencing rapid growth as demand for its water increases from domestic and overseas customers.
NGC director Dean Harrop said: “Water Brands Group is already seeing the benefits of investing in a state-of-the-art system.
“The Avaya IP500 system provides access to features such as voicemail to email and mobile twinning which gives users the flexibility to work remotely and from home.
“It also offers increased security against phone hacking and toll fraud, which can potentially cost thousands of pounds. The Avaya system has in-built security and will offer robust protection.”
NGC Networks is an accredited Avaya Silver Partner. This demonstrates that NGC is in a better position to ensure business continuity than competitors.
