Leeds based payroll and company management services provider, Nova Contracting, has made a £1,000 donation to The Sick Children’s Trust.

The charity provides free accommodation, as well as emotional and practical support for parents who have seriously ill children in hospital to ensure they can stay close to their young ones.

Founded in 1982, it is the longest-serving charity providing ‘Home from Home’ accommodation in the UK and supports around 3,500 families every year.

The Sick Children’s Trust has ten ‘Homes from Home’ providing a clean and welcoming environment for the whole family, including its Eckersley House which is able to support 23 families with children receiving lifesaving treatment at the Leeds General Infirmary.

Marcus Green, director of Nova Contracting, said: “We understand that small things make a big difference to charities like The Sick Children’s Trust which is why we are thrilled to be able to support the great work they do.

“In the run up to Christmas we will also be making a trip to a local retailer to pick up those all important items on the children’s Christmas ‘wish lists’.”

Polly Staveley, trustee for The Sick Children’s Trust: “We were delighted to be able to show several members of Nova Contracting around Eckersley House, The Sick Children’s Trust’s ‘Home from Home’ next to the LGI.

“As well as seeing the fantastic facilities they were able to meet some of the families who are benefiting from staying just a few minutes away from their very sick children, and hear first-hand what a difference the house makes to them in such difficult times.

“We would like to thank Nova Contracting enormously for their generous donation, which will be put to very good use.”
