Engineering company Portasilo, which specialises in the design and manufacture of bulk material handling systems, has made two key appointments to strengthen its sales and project teams.
With almost 40 years’ experience of the industry, Kevin Storey joins the senior management team as head of sales. His previous role was with Schenck Process as Head of the European Power Division, working predominantly in the heavy industry and power sector.
Kevin started his career as an apprentice at Shepherd Engineering Services (SES), spending the first 21 years of his working life honing his skills across a range of departments.
He said: “Having spent over 20 years at Portasilo, it just feels like coming home. I am relishing the task of, once again, heading up the sales team here and ensuring we remain one of the UK’s pre-eminent designers and suppliers of material handling solutions. We are looking to grow this business and now is an exciting time to be involved in this company.”
Joe Ellerton joins the drawing office as project engineering manager responsible for mechanical and electrical design.
Joe has a wealth of experience of bulk material handling systems gained both client side and working for other OEMs.
“With a busy year ahead of us, I’m looking forward to streamlining co-operation between the projects and proposals teams, as well as improving the interface between engineering and manufacturing which will further improve our project delivery performance,” said Joe.
Portasilo managing director Neil Gardiner said: “Kevin and Joe bring a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience to add to our already considerable capabilities and will help us to realise the potential of key sectors where activity levels are increasing.”
