Harrogate PR and communications agency Acceleris has announced two senior management promotions as part of its future growth strategy.
Managing director Peter Davenport is moving up to the role of chief executive and director Louise Vaughan, currently Head of PR, is promoted to managing director. The changes take effect immediately.
Announcing the moves, Acceleris chairman Nigel Howes said: ““The agency achieved many good things in 2014 laying positive foundations for what promises to be an exciting 2015. Revenues topped the £1 million mark for the year, we collected more awards, won new clients, opened a London office and picked up a prestigious pan-European account.
“Overall, the agency made significant strides over the last 12 months which provide the platform for future growth and development.
“As part of that, it is important that we have the appropriate management structure in place, not just for the business we are today but for that which we aim to be in the medium and long term.
“These promotions will help ensure that we achieve the ambitions we have for Acceleris.”
As chief executive, Davenport will focus on ensuring the agency delivers the objectives set out in the budget as well as on new business, senior client relationships, being external agency ambassador, providing strategic and creative input on accounts as well as exploring the range of corporate opportunities that could potentially accelerate growth.
As managing director Vaughan with have overall responsibility for the day to day operation of the agency, including client servicing and campaign creation and delivery as well as new business. This will also include the continuing development of the agency’s growing maritime division which works for national and international trade bodies, catching companies and charities in the sector.
Mr Howes added: “As chairman, I take great satisfaction from the opportunities for personal growth and development we have created at Acceleris and Louise’s progress from maternity leave cover to managing director could not provide clearer evidence of that policy.”
The promotions follow the appointment of Sandra Hobson as associate director (London), recruited from the respected London agency, Haygarth, to lead the growth and development of Acceleris in the capital.
