Rail holiday specialist improves customer experience

York-based Great Rail Journeys has opened its new customer departure office at St Pancras Station, London.

The company, which specialises in holidays by rail, has taken a unit at the station on a five-year lease deal.

Langleys Solicitors in York acted for Great Rail Journeys on the lease agreement which is with HS1 Ltd.

Great Rail Journeys operates 300 individual rail tours to more than 40 countries. The new departure office is part of the company’s strategy to improve facilities for its customers.

CEO Peter Liney said: “A lot of our departures are via Eurostar and we felt a base where our customers could meet their tour managers would provide them with a better experience at the start of their holiday.

“The new departure office is working well and we’ve already had lots of positive feedback from our customers.”

Emma Warner, a partner in commercial property at Langleys who acted on the unit lease at St Pancras, said: “Great Rail Journeys is a very successful Yorkshire-based business and we’re pleased to support the company in the next chapter of its growth plans.”

Great Rail Journeys has also launched two sister brands – Great Rail Journeys Independent and Rail Discoveries.
