Skipton-based AKA PR has appointed three new public relations staff to support its rapidly expanding client base. The company, based at High Corn Mill, now employs a total of 11 people.
Rebecca Sutcliffe joins AKA as a PR account manager bringing 15 years of public relations and marketing experience with her. Rebecca lives in Skipton.
Former Craven Herald reporter Julia Murfin, who lives in Settle, joins as a PR account executive. After taking a career break to focus on her family, she returned to the workplace via freelance journalism and school administration.
Keighley based Davina Consoli joins as AKA’s first PR apprentice. Attending college one day a week, Davina will assist the team while learning about the public relations sector and developing her business administration skills.
Jan Turner, director of AKA PR, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Rebecca, Julia and Davina into AKA with all the experience and enthusiasm that they bring with them.
“Thanks to the improving economy we have enjoyed a number of new business wins in recent months and are expanding accordingly.”
AKA PR has been based in Skipton for more than 20 years, specialising in home furnishings and interiors and has a country-wide client base – several of which have been with the company for over ten years.
