Dynamic duo help buyers find a piece of God’s own county

Two of the region’s most influential property agents who have over 30 years combined agency experience at Strutt & Parker and Knight Frank, have launched a property buying agency in response to an increase in demand from Yorkshire buyers and buyers relocating from outside the area.

Specialising in finding outstanding homes, country and sporting estates as well as farms and land, Toby Milbank and Tom Robinson are also cultivating investment and development opportunities across the North of England.

Working on behalf of retained clients, The Search Partnership – which is based in Boroughbridge – sources off-market opportunities, proactively targeting properties in specific locations depending on the individual wish lists of their clients.

Director Toby Milbank said: “We have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the area and an unrivalled network of contacts so Tom and I are ideally suited to running a buying agency.

“Although buying agencies are popular in London this is the first time two agents have come together to form a buying agency business in Yorkshire.

“Many agents provide a rental search service for businesses whose employees are relocating to the area, but whilst that is one of our offerings, the mainstay of our business is working for private clients who are relocating within Yorkshire, moving from outside the region and anywhere else in the world.

“We work for clients who are unable to find their dream home, often after months or even years of fruitless searching.”

Director Tom Robinson said: “Some people don’t understand the role of a buying agency when there is such a plethora of property portals and agents out there, but it’s important to remember that many of the best properties seldom make it to the open market or onto the websites of traditional estate agents.
