The launch of comedian Jason Manford’s Comedy Club at a Leeds nightclub has been hailed a success, with organisers confident it will become a big feature of the city’s nightlife.

A near capacity audience enjoyed the opening weekend at PRYZM on Woodhouse Lane, with entertainment from three comics, plus MC and compere Colin Manford.

Colin, brother of Jason and an outstanding comedian in his own right, said: “As far as opening weekends go, we couldn’t be happier. A perfect crowd, a perfect venue and the comedy was second to none. I personally can’t wait to play the room again.”

Jason Manford, who will be appearing at the Comedy Club in the near future, tweeted: “Heard the brand new Manford’s Comedy Club at PRYZM Leeds was a huge success. There again every Friday and Saturday.”

PRYZM general manager Rob Green said: “The shows were incredibly entertaining and the positive feedback we have received from customers has been plentiful.

“We are genuinely thrilled how the people of Leeds have embraced this magnificent new addition to our venue.”
