Michael Cantwell, a partner at hlw Keeble Hawson who specialises in corporate transactions, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees at Leeds Mind.
The charity helps people with mental health difficulties to live life independently by providing support which meets their needs in key areas including employment, wellbeing, counselling and peer support.
Mr Cantwell – a specialist in acquisitions and disposals who advises on a range of banking, finance and private equity issues – is also a member of the firm’s management team at its Leeds office.
He said: “I’m honoured to draw on my commercial expertise and add value to the tremendous work of Leeds Mind which campaigns relentlessly to reduce the stigma and discrimination against people with mental health issues – and helps them to engage in their communities and achieve their goals.”
