Barnsley not-for-profit organisation, Team Activ, has teamed up with South Yorkshire Housing Association to develop a major new initiative as part of SYHA’s award winning LeadWell Development programme.
Beginning this summer, the yearlong programme, called SYsHAre, will aim to develop cross-business collaboration, encourage wellbeing and improve engagement with a series of interactive events.
The programme will see activities spread throughout the year starting with a warm up event for managers.
This will be followed by a session where managers, working in growth teams, design activities for their fellow employees to cascade at further events.
Activities will include a range of mini challenges designed to open communication channels amongst employees with the goal of having fun and working together as a team.
Team Activ will also work with SYHA to develop an online toolkit which will further support employee wellbeing alongside the programme.
Darren Padgett, founder of Team Activ said: “At Team Activ we want to inspire both the corporate and charity sector to push towards a healthier workforce.
“Healthier employees means fewer absences and higher levels of productivity and job satisfaction.
“We are thrilled to partner with SYHA on SYsHAre to boost company wellbeing and drive for results.”
Tim Gallimore, organisational development manager at SYHA, said: “At SYHA the engagement and wellbeing of our people is a top priority. We want to give them the skills to help manage change and empower them to achieve their full potential. We’re very excited to partner with Team Activ to deliver this important programme.”
