A Sheffield based PR agency has expanded its team and moved to new premises following a series of new client wins.
MK Public Relations, which specialises in developing and rolling out communication strategies on behalf of a myriad of local, regional and national consumer and business clients, has appointed two new members to its team of PR & Communications professionals.
Ellie Greenfield, former editor of Sheffield’s Big Peach magazine has joined the team, bringing with her a broad understanding of journalism and a wide range of contacts from across the city.
Also joining the MK account executives is University of Sheffield English Literature graduate Cathy Stanford who hails from a digital communications agency – bringing over 18 months specific social media expertise.
The latest appointments follow a period of client expansion for the MK team, who have recently acquired several high profile clients, including education service provider Focus Education; Commercial Property Partners and Sheffield-based tech specialists Affecto Recruitment.
The agency continues to represent some of the region’s leading brands within their individual fields; with Meadowhall Shopping Centre, telematics experts The Floow, and leading online grocer Approved Food remaining on its portfolio.
Following ten years based in Kelham Island, the company has recently moved its head office to the Sheffield Parkway Business Park.
Managing director Caroline Woffenden said: “With a growing team and client base we couldn’t turn down the opportunity to move to this area of Sheffield, which is a growing hub of business and is home to several of our clients. With fantastic transport links, this location will make it easier than ever for us to liaise with our clients and meet with potential new business.”
PR director Ashlea McConnell continues to work alongside Caroline to head up the agency’s operations, having joined the company in 2013 following six-years at Irwin Mitchell where she held the title of personal legal services PR manager.
