A Wakefield estate agency has broken new ground after letting its most expensive property since it opened its doors a decade ago.
Linley & Simpson, based on Northgate, achieved a monthly rent of £3,250 for the detached home on Aberford Road, Oulton.
The four-bedroomed property, with prime links to both the M1 and M62, was snapped up by its first viewer within three days of being on the market.
Branch manager Emma Hodgson said the fee reflected the strength of West Yorkshire’s rental market, especially for family homes with excellent transport links on their doorstep.
“It is certainly a record-breaker for this branch – and probably for the area as a whole looking at our research,” she said. “It signals the continuing appeal of renting and the flexibility it brings with it.”
The monthly rent is also amongst the highest achieved by any of the 11 Yorkshire branches operated by Linley & Simpson since the independent residential sales and letting agency launched 20 years ago.
