Leading business and advisory firm Grant Thornton UK LLP announces the appointment of Jonathan Riley as Head of Tax, with effect from 1 April 2013. Jonathan replaces , who is moving to the Global Head of Tax role at .

Jonathan has been a partner at Grant Thornton UK since 1997, and is currently the practice leader for Yorkshire.

The early part of Jonathan’s career was spent in the , primarily as an Inspector of Taxes in both Yorkshire and , followed by a two-year secondment to the Department of Trade & Industry as tax policy adviser to the President of the Board of Trade.

With a career in taxation spanning 20 years, Jonathan has extensive experience dealing with entrepreneurial high net worth individuals and corporates in a variety of sectors.
