Extra help for South Yorkshire entrepreneurs
Extra help for young entrepreneurs launching new ventures in the Sheffield region have been welcomed by a business specialist.
Chris Hill, partner with Sheffield-based independent chartered accountants and business advisers Hawsons, of Glossop Road, says that the Government’s decision to increase national funding for its Start-Up Loans scheme by £30 million to £100 million over the next three years and also extend the upper age limit for those applying from 24 to 30 years old will provide a real boost for new business ideas.
He added:
With the scheme offering entrepreneurs a range of support to get their ideas off the ground, which includes access to a business mentor as well as funding of approximately £2, 500, increasing the age limit will mean that opportunities will be given to more people at a time when the local economy desperately needs new creativity and more jobs.
