Guy Watson, the BBC Farmer of the Year and founder of Riverford Organic Farms, is the guest speaker at a business lunch being held in Yorkshire.
Guy will be at the Cicada Spring Lunch on Friday, May 17, being held at the Hotel du Vin in Harrogate, where he will talk about how he started his Riverford veg box delivery company and developed it into a £40 million turnover business.
Lunch guests will also hear Guy’s views on the challenges facing the farming industry today.
Before attending the lunch, Guy will visit Home Farm at Newby Wiske, near Northallerton – one of the four Riverford farms in the country where fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables are grown and then packed into veg boxes for delivery to customers across the North.
There are just a few tickets remaining for the Spring Lunch which starts at 12 noon with aperitifs followed by a two-course lunch inclusive of a glass of wine and coffee.
To book a place, contact Rachel Barker – firstname.lastname@example.org Tickets are £33 each including VAT, and please advise of any special dietary requirements when booking.
