Specialist car dealership celebrates 21st birthday with £750,000 showroom and office investment

A Yorkshire-based specialist car dealership has marked its 21st birthday by completing a major showroom refurbishment.

Lawton Brook, which was established in 1992 by Peter Brook and Jeremy Saville, has invested more than £750,000 into creating a state-of-the-art facility at its Knaresborough headquarters.

The upgrade, which has taken eight months to complete, has seen:

  • Construction of vehicle turntable and client webinar viewing facilities
  • Installation of 10kw, solar PV system to reduce carbon footprint
  • Redesign and refurbishment of sales and administration offices, including air conditioning
  • Installation of new IT system

Peter Brook said:

“We were originally based on Hornbeam Park and, when we launched a sister company, Oracle Finance, we decided we wanted to have both operations under one roof.

“Both Oracle Finance and Lawton Brook have grown considerably which was another factor that led us to undertaking this major refurbishment project.

“The investment has created more space for us to comfortably grow into. In addition, it has provided us – and more importantly our clients – with the ability to either view vehicles on site or, thanks to the turntable and webinar facilities, over the internet.

“The new IT system has been custom-designed for us and is making our life a lot easier already.”

Mr Brook added:

“We also looked at our impact on the environment and took this opportunity to include a renewable energy scheme in our plans. Whilst reducing our carbon footprint the solar system is driving down our energy costs.”
