Hambleton Strategic Business Forum is hosting its first business conference next month – to promote Hambleton as the place to locate and grow business.
The event – run in partnership with Hambleton District Council and Welcome 2 Yorkshire – is open to all businesses in the area.
It will feature keynote speakers – including W2Y’s Chief Executive, Gary Verity and Barry Dodd OBE, Chairman of the GSM Group and the York and North Yorkshire with East Riding Local Enterprise Partnership – and networking opportunities and numerous exhibitors.
Chairman of the Hambleton Strategic Business Forum, Lindsay Ross, said:
“We want local businesses to get together to stimulate and generate ideas to assist them to thrive and grow.
“The ‘Welcome to Business in Hambleton’ event will be a chance to hear from keynote speakers who have successfully grown their businesses and are personally aware of the issues of working in this rural area and the benefits and draw-backs that come with that, take part in live debate and network with likeminded business leaders.
“Importantly it will promote Hambleton as a great place to locate and grow business.”
The event which is open to all types of businesses, large and small takes place on June 13 at Bedale Hall from 9.30am until 2pm. There is a nominal £5 fee which includes lunch.
