Sheffield-based Birley Manufacturing is celebrating outstanding end of year results with a turnover of £10.1million for the year 2012.
The company, which specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke and roll out equipment for the retail, industrial, rail and leisure sectors, has achieved a profit before tax of £370,000 for the year January to December 2012.
This represents an 18 per cent increase over the previous year.
The company which employs over 90 staff has gone from strength to strength over the past decade, consolidating its core skills and seeking out new markets.
With a loyal team comprising of metal working specialists and skilled bench joiners through to designers, planners and project managers, Birley have bucked the trend and won a stream of projects nationwide with blue chip companies and high street names such as Waitrose, JTI, HSBC, First Great Western Trains and the NHS.
Earlier in the year Birley strengthened its management team and formed a new Board of Directors to ensure that the company is well placed to progress business plans and take advantage of future opportunities to lead the company forward into another eventful year.
