A Yorkshire environmental company with bases in Halifax and Bradford is to repeat its graduate recruitment programme – after its inaugural scheme proved ‘just the job’ in helping young people take their first steps up the career ladder.
The Leo Group, with its headquarters in Swalesmoor and its Omega Proteins plant sited in Thornton, is looking to take on postgraduates across key parts of its operations.
The company, which specialises in recycling and renewable energy, is seeking CVs from those who have graduated in subjects including environmental studies, science, engineering and property.
It took on four graduates in the first year of the scheme and, of that back of that success, has decided to repeat it.
Group Property Manager Brian Maguire said:
“It sits alongside our established apprenticeship scheme as a way of helping young people find a route into employment with a successful and growing company.
“With unemployment growing, particularly among the young, we make every effort to buck the economic trend and support school and university leavers wherever possible and create sustainable employment.
“There is no shortage of young talent in Yorkshire and we are determined to develop these skills in a variety of roles across the group.”
