Places for the first Hambleton Strategic Business Forum business conference are going fast!
Thursday’s (June 13) event will promote Hambleton as the place to locate and grow business. It is attracting business men and women from across the district.
Chairman of the Forum, Lindsay Ross, said:
“This event is a first for Hambleton and promises to be both exciting and stimulating.
“Welcome to Hambleton will provide a mass of ideas to encourage local businesses to grow – and show that Hambleton is very welcoming – and a great place to locate and grow your business.”
It features keynote speakers Gary Verity, David Kerfoot and Jo Burgess – as well as a wide range of exhibitors and networking opportunities.
Gary – who is Welcome to Yorkshire’s Chief Executive – will talk about the great opportunities that businesses can seize by being in Yorkshire as well as next year’s visit by the Tour de France.
David Kerfoot is Vice Chair of the North Yorkshire and East Riding Local Enterprise Partnership and will identify how it is supporting businesses to grow and be successful.
And Jo, who runs a small business in Easingwold, will be providing her top tips for small businesses and those just setting out.
The exhibition stands feature a broad range of business links – from the Federation of Small Business, UK Trade and Investment, Welcome to Yorkshire and Deliciously Yorkshire to banks and source funding companies, legal and employment law specialists, Superfast North Yorkshire and the North Yorkshire Business and Enterprise Partnership.
Businesses will be able find out how to access young talent from schools and colleges in the area, how to improve profile and customer base, the different types of financial support for development and investment and how to maximise growth through the internet
The event – which is being run in partnership with Hambleton District Council, the Federation of Small Businesses and Welcome to Yorkshire – is open to all businesses, large and small, as well as those thinking of locating in Hambleton.
It takes place on June 13 at Bedale Hall from 9.30am until 2.00pm. There is a nominal £5 fee which includes lunch.
