A Yorkshire video production and internal communications specialist was centre stage as it pulled out all the stops to produce creative media news footage for first direct’s internal communications about its sponsorship of the latest £60m purpose built entertainment centre, first direct arena.
On May 2, first direct announced it had secured the five-year naming rights for Leeds’ new 13,000 seat arena due to open in July. This is the first major sponsorship deal for the bank and the news needed to be kept under wraps until announcement day.
Halifax-based Limehouse productions had just one day to film and edit the video clips. The team had to work around the clock to fit around technical and dress rehearsals inside the first direct arena. The crew managed to capture on camera the tremendous atmosphere within and follow the management on a first tour of the massive arena to produce as film news footage.

With an opening season that includes the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Kaiser Chiefs and Andrea Bocelli, the first direct arena looks set to be one of the best venues in Europe.
