A host of training courses in South Yorkshire to support businesses with international trade have been developed.
Guidance on export documentation, import procedures and letters of credit will be provided during the latest one-day courses which run from June until September.
South Yorkshire International Trade Centre (SYITC) and Sheffield Chamber of Commerce have developed the courses for business leaders.
The export documentation course will explain in detail why documents are necessary and how accuracy is essential. It includes details on sources of information to assist the exporter.
Training on import procedures has been designed to give new importers an introduction and understanding of the requirements for importing goods into the UK. It makes companies aware of the typical errors made and how to avoid them, with particular emphasis on reducing costs.
A course on letters of credit will provide businesses with the confidence in all financial matters of international trade. It will explain letters of credit, content, procedure, documents, costs, terminology and how to avoid errors.
The courses will take place on:
- 27 June – Export documentation
- 3 July – Import procedures
- 9 July – Export letters of credit
- 3 September – Export documentation
- 16 September – Letters of Credit
Each is available to non-Chamber Members at £299 per person, per course and to Chamber members for £249 per person, per course.
