Harrogate-based Joe Manby is strengthening its team with four new appointments to the event management and design teams.
Ciara O’Grady joins the company as event manager, bringing with her experience of working behind the scenes at such high profile national events as the Olympic and Paralympic games where she was part of the London Organising Committee for three years.
She has previously worked on the event management teams of the British Golf Open, the Melbourne Grand Prix and the Edinburgh Fringe and Film Festival.

“I aim to add to the wealth of experience that is already in the management team and help to continue to deliver successful event services.”
Originally from Northern Ireland, Ciara now lives in Ilkley with husband Will.
Sam Ahmadi moves from his role as designer to a new position of event co-ordinator, where he will be working closely with the directors and the senior management team to provide support to organisers and exhibitors on many of the company’s events.
Sam originally joined the company in 2007 after gaining a degree in Design at Leeds Metropolitan University and has been closely involved in recent developments in both the company’s design capabilities and the development of the company’s new web site.
Through his keen interest outside of work, Sam has also become the company’s unofficial “official” photographer.
Rachel Swarbrick joins the team as a designer, where she will be working with clients on 3D visuals and 2D floor design layouts for exhibition stands, feature areas and floor plans.
With a BA (Hons) Architecture degree and expertise in AutoCAD and Photoshop and creating imaginative visualisations and final presentations, Rachel has most recently worked as a freelance architectural assistant and joins our creative team from a local pharmaceutical company.
Rachel lives in Lothersdale near Skipton and is currently putting her design skills fully to the test by building her own house with her partner.
Fran Heaton joins the team as event administrator.
Based at Joe Manby Limited’s Hookstone Park office to support the management team, Fran will be responsible for the processing of exhibitors orders, handling telephone enquiries from exhibitors and chasing late orders.
Originally from Nottingham, Fran moved to Harrogate after graduating with a degree in criminology from Hull University in 2012 and previously worked in admin support at a local company.
