Leeds lawyers raise more than £1,900 for local charities

More than 100 business people put their general knowledge to the test and raised over £1,900 at a charity quiz hosted by the Leeds office of hlw Keeble Hawson – one of the region’s biggest law firms which also has offices in Sheffield and Doncaster.

The winners were a team of five from Bluefin Insurance Solutions Harrogate office, who clinched victory with an exceptional knowledge of a range of subjects from food and drink to youth culture.

Proceeds from the event, which took place at Toast Bar and Bistro, Leeds, will be donated to hlw Keeble Hawson’s chosen charities: St Gemma’s Hospice and Martin House Children’s Hospice.

St Gemma’s Hospice, Leeds, provides specialist medical and nursing care for people with life threatening illnesses, along with support for their families, in the in-patient unit, by the community care nurses, in the day hospice, or as an out-patient.

Martin House Children’s Hospice at Boston Spa, Wetherby, provides family-led care for children with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses, providing support, rest and practical help for children, young people and their families.
