A drive to recruit 300 retail specialists to work at John Lewis York is now underway.
The retailer is on the hunt for new Partners (staff) to fill a variety of roles.
Currently there are 100 live vacancies for specialist roles, including visual merchandising, business protection, admin and maintenance.
The second phase of recruitment will open in November when 200 sales assistant roles will be open for applications.
Set to open in spring 2014, the 92,000 sq ft department store will be situated on the Monks Cross 2 development and the retailer is aiming to make it the most sustainable John Lewis shop yet.
It will offer customers an edited collection of products across fashion, home and electronics in an inspiring and contemporary setting.
Customers will also have access to computer terminals in the store to enable them to browse and purchase products from the wider johnlewis.com range.
Rebekah Hawley, personnel growth manager at John Lewis who is coordinating the recruitment process, said:

Today’s announcement follows the appointment of Robert Garnish as branch manager at John Lewis York.
