The managing director of Oracle Finance and Lawton Brook Ltd, has been welcomed as the first member of the exclusive Ginetta Racing Drivers Club.
The Club, which was launched in conjunction with Ginetta’s debut appearance at the annual Salon Privé in London, offers members an innovative package including club car, driving tuition, full ARDS licence and entry into four race weekends.
Peter Brook was so impressed with the offer that he committed to a car before the show was even open to the public.
Oracle Finance and Lawton Brook Ltd, based in Knaresborough, specialise in high performance car retail and finance.
Peter’s role as managing director of both companies has given him the opportunity to experience a range of supercars and fuelled his desire to go racing.
He will receive his fully-taxed and road legal G40 Club Car in early 2014.
As part of the package, Peter will join Ginetta for two track days, including one-on-one tuition, then he will be helped to obtain his MSA National B race licence ahead of the four-race Ginetta Racing Drivers Club series in support of the 2014 GT.
“I’ve been involved in the motor industry for over 25 years and I always fancied going racing, but never found an easy and time-efficient way into the sport.
“When I saw the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club offer it was obvious that this was the route many businessmen like myself have been waiting for.
“Not only will Ginetta do all the work for me and provide a great race series, at the end of it I will have my own Ginetta G40 suitable for the racetrack and road, and at £24,250 plus VAT, it will retain its value.”
“Ginetta has an excellent reputation for build quality and reliability. I know the chairman, Lawrence Tomlinson, strives for perfection so I feel comfortable investing my money in the brand.”
Lawrence Tomlinson, Chairman of Ginetta Cars said:
“It’s great to have Peter on board as the first member of the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club.
“He is the epitome of the type of driver we are targeting, someone with a busy schedule who wants to go racing and enjoy the social side of motorsport, but doesn’t have time to organise everything.”
Ginetta has supported over 240 entry-level drivers over the past five years, with established clear routes from entry-level racing to top level sports car competitions.
